Ole Groupe Memorial FFA Scholarship Fund
Established 1995
The Ole Groupe Memorial Scholarship was established in 1995 in memory of Ole Groupe, a Pendleton High School student who died tragically in a mountain climbing accident on Mount Hood. Ole had a love for life, the outdoors, and a close bond to nature and animals. To honor his legacy, this scholarship supports Pendleton High School students in pursuing their passion for agriculture.
Each year, the scholarship funds a deserving student’s participation in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Convention in Washington, D.C. This week-long leadership conference provides students the opportunity to develop essential speaking and presentation skills, while also fostering lifelong connections with agriculture students from across the nation. The Ole Groupe Scholarship helps students explore future career paths in agriculture and animal science, fields that Ole deeply cared about.
The $2,000 scholarship supports a Pendleton High School FFA member with their annual convention expenses, empowering the next generation of leaders in agriculture, all in memory of Ole Groupe. Contact the PHS FFA Advisor for more information.
