David Jon Lindberg Memorial Scholarship

Established 2013

The David “D.J.” Lindberg Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of David “D.J.” Lindberg, a 1972 Pendleton High School (PHS) graduate and 1977 Washington State University graduate with a B.S. in agricultural engineering. After Lindberg’s life was tragically cut short in an auto accident in April 1979, this scholarship was created to recognize an outstanding PHS graduate who embodies the standards Lindberg set: citizenship, scholarship, and family.

In 2012, the scholarship fund was transferred to the Pendleton Foundation Trust, which awarded the first scholarship under its management in 2013. The scholarship awards $2,500 annually. Applicants can apply through the PHS Scholarship application available through ASPIRE.
