Pendleton Alumni Scholarship

Established 2023

Established in 2023 under the leadership of PHS Class of ’79 graduates Ron Beebe and Tami Walkup, the Pendleton Alumni Scholarship was launched with a generous donation from the Beebe-Wilson Trust. The scholarship fund continues to grow thanks to the ongoing support of PHS alumni and dedicated supporters.

Graduating Pendleton High School seniors who attend accredited colleges, community colleges or technical schools with the intention of earning a two-year certificate or four-year degree are eligible. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, however a 2.5 GPA may be considered.

The scholarship awards $2,500/year, renewable for up to four years ($10,000 total). Apply through the Pendleton Foundation Trust Scholarship application, due March 1st.

2026 Pendleton Alumni Scholarship Recipient

Maura McShane

Maura will attend Pacific University, where she plans to study biology on a pre-med track. Her goal is to attend medical school and eventually become a general physician or pediatrician. She hopes to one day open her own medical practice while also offering pro-bono care to individuals and families in need.

The scholarship award is $2,500 (renewable up to four years for a total of $10,000).

Pendleton Alumni Scholarship Award History

2025 / Josie Jenness will be attending Linn-Benton Community College where she’ll continue to pursue her passion for volleyball and begin her studies to become an x-ray technician. Her goal is to transfer to the Oregon Institute of Technology and pursue a career where she can make healthcare more accessible and compassionate for all.

2024 / Kylee Nelson will be attending Oregon State University and Linn Benton Community College through a dual enrollment program, studying to become an Occupational Therapist. $2,500 (renewable up to four years for a total of $10,000).

2023 / Stella Rabb is the first recipient of the newly established PHS Alumni Scholarship Fund, a $2,500 financial award renewable up to four years for a total of $10,000. Stella’s plans include attending the University of Oregon working towards a degree in Business.
